4th question fun
4th question fun

Getting bored of the same 3 questions?  How about a 4th question about FUN?  If your team seems to be getting into a rut and people are starting to drift from wanting to attend, why not ask a new question every so often.

4th Question: FUN stuff for the Team to know about or learn about?

4 questions daily scrum (with 4th optional Fun question)
4 questions daily scrum (with 4th optional Fun question)

The Standard 3 Three Questions

  1. What did you get DONE since the last Daily Scrum?
  2. What do you PLAN to do before the next Daily Scrum?
  3. What is BLOCKing you from achieving your plan?

The 4th question I added:

4. FUN stuff for the Team to know about or learn about?

I try to encourage my team to have fun together or at least to share fun things they have done.  Maybe it is something their teammates might want to try.  They can later share their experiences and grow more as a team.

The robotic work life is so anti-Agile.

Fun stuff would include: new games, movies, places to eat at, up and coming potlucks in the office, going out to lunch, fun things with the family, etc…

At first it will start out slow but over time it will grow as people take advantage of sharing good stuff together.  Do be surprised that you as a Scrum Master will have to invent fun things to do as a team.

I’m starting a vegan potluck or lunch activity once a month.  And I’m not a vegan.

Cheers,
