Definition of Done Example:  I painted 3/4 of my house last fall and I did seal the unpainted ¼ piece remaining.  So is my paint job DONE or not?

I bet you can guess what my wife says.

If you are paying a contractor would you pay them for a 3/4 finished job?

If you were a member of a 5 person paint team and know that your business does not get paid unless the entire house is painted, do you let that last piece go unfinished?  If one person of your paint team is falling behind in getting that last ¼ piece (task) done, do we wait or do we offer to help complete some unfinished task, so we can all get paid and enjoy the weekend?

Another way of looking at it is that I sealed the house and Front wall looks good which was my Minimal Viable Product (MVP), so the house would survive the winter and looks acceptable. In my next Sprint this Spring, I will add another coat of paint and finish that last piece.
